Cincinnati Reds Stack and 3 Other Tuesday Fantasy Options May Make or Break Your DFS and Fantasy Baseball Lineups (May 5, 2026)

If you’re looking for fantasy baseball help ahead of Tuesday’s 14-game slate, you’ve landed at the right place. Here we deliver you fantasy baseball advice regarding streaming options at pitcher, a hitter to anchor for your DFS lineups, and a pitcher to fade across all formats.

Why You Should Consider Stacking the Reds on Tuesday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate

Even though Jameson Taillon could be a capable streaming option on Tuesday’s slate against a weak Cincinnati Reds offense in Wrigley Field, things could easily go the other way around. And it wouldn’t hurt to assemble a Reds stack solely because of the favorable matchup for several Cincinnati hitters against Taillon.

There’s Will Benson, who hits .308 with a .973 OPS and a homer in 13 at-bats. There’s also Elly De La Cruz, who’s a worthy DFS option in his own right, and his .357 average with a 1.257 OPS and two homers in 14 at-bats against Taillon.

TJ Friedl might be hitting just .211 in 19 at-bats against Taillon, but he has an .865 OPS and two homers. Tyler Stephenson is hitting .417 with a 1.167 OPS in 12 at-bats. This is enough evidence to consider the Reds as a worthy stack, even if they’ve scored the seventh-fewest runs in baseball ahead of Tuesday’s action.

Why Bryce Harper Is an Interesting Hitter for Your DFS Lineups

Bryce Harper has been one of the few bright spots in an anemic Phillies offense of late, and he’s a player worth considering on Friday’s slate since he comes into the slate posting excellent results against Luis Severino, who will start for the Athletics on Tuesday.

Harper’s results against the former Yankees hurler speak for themselves. He’s hitting .375 with a 1.944 OPS and three homers across eight at-bats against Severino, but Harper has also been seeing the ball well regardless of who’s on the mound.

The star slugger went 5-for-15 in the weekend series against the Miami Marlins and has hit .297 with a .954 OPS, two homers, four doubles, seven RBIs, and seven runs scored over his last 10 games. Even if the Phillies are struggling offensively, you’d be wise to start Harper across all your lineups based on his excellent results, both in recent games and against Severino on an all-time basis.

Why You Should Consider Streaming Taj Bradley in Fantasy Baseball on Tuesday

Even though Bradley’s last start was wasted since it ended up in a no-decision, it still offered a glimpse of a bounce-back for Bradley. He tossed 7.0 innings of two-run ball with seven strikeouts against the Mariners, and overall, Bradley has been very productive in 2026, surpassing even the most optimistic projections for what he could do.

He has a 2.85 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP, 9.7 K/9, and a 44:15 K:BB through 41 innings. While there should be some worrying signs, mainly in terms of sustainability as well as elevated walk (3.3) and HR (1.1) rates on a per-nine basis, Bradley continues to deliver each time he steps on the mound.

He has a favorable matchup on Tuesday since the Nationals have struck out the eighth-most times as a team this season, so if you still have the chance to start Bradley as a streaming option or in a DFS contest, take advantage of the opportunity.

Why You Should Avoid Starting Bryce Elder in Tuesday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate

Elder will probably get a ton of run support, considering he pitches for the best offense in the majors in 2026, and he’s been impressive in his own right of late. Elder has recorded three quality starts in a row, and he’s coming off a no-decision against the Tigers, an outing in which he tossed six innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts.

In the process of those three quality starts, Elder has lowered his ERA to an impressive 1.88 with a 1.05 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB across seven outings and 43 innings. However, he’s bound to regress at some point, and the Mariners offense is bound to wake up.

Elder might deliver another solid showing, but it’s unclear how long he’ll continue to outpitch his peripherals, including a 3.11 FIP. We’re staying away from this one.
