Davis Martin Leads 3 Monday Fantasy Baseball Streamers Targeting MLB’s Most Strikeout-Prone Lineup (May 4, 2026)
If you’re looking for the best streaming candidates ahead of Monday’s fantasy baseball slate, here are three pitchers who should help bolster your lineups.
Why Davis Martin Is a Top Streaming Option for Monday
Davis Martin continues to pitch at a very high level, and even though he’s going to regress at some point (and most likely sooner rather than later!), we’ll continue to trust in what he can do on the mound until he proves otherwise. Martin will be facing an Angels offense that ranks in the middle of the pack in collective OPS (.712) but dead last in the majors in strikeouts (347), so there’s potential for Martin to continue pitching as well as he has lately.
The right-hander already faced the Angels earlier this season and delivered excellent results, allowing 1 run on 7 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts across 5.2 innings on April 28. On the season, Martin has gone 4-1 with a 1.95 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 37 innings and 6 starts. His rostership percentage increases with each passing start, but if you have the chance to stream him Monday, do it without thinking twice.
Why You Should Target Chad Patrick in Monday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate
It’s hard to analyze Patrick since he doesn’t strike out a ton of opponents, and the fact that he doesn’t regularly pitch deep into games suggests his fantasy value should be limited every time he steps on the mound. However, there have been more positives than negatives when taking a look at his numbers.
Patrick has allowed 2 or fewer runs in 5 of his 6 appearances while posting a 2.57 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 16:13 K:BB across 28 innings. The matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals is far from ideal, but in a slate where the pitching options are limited outside of the top arms, streaming Patrick could be a success as long as he limits the damage and manages to pitch at least 5 innings.
Why Michael Wacha Is a Solid Streaming Option for Monday
Wacha has been trending in the right direction of late, although to be fair, that was bound to happen given his electric start to the season. The veteran right-hander allowed just 3 runs over his first 4 starts, but he’s given up 10 runs in 10.1 frames over his last 2 appearances.
His overall season-long numbers remain decent, as he sports a 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 33:14 K:BB through 37.1 innings over 6 appearances, but it’s clear that he hasn’t been as dominant as he was over the first weeks of the campaign. Still, the matchup against the Guardians is a decent one on paper, as Cleveland ranks 15th in collective OPS this season (.706), and the game will be at home, where Wacha has given up 6 runs in 13.1 innings. He could be a solid innings-eater in Monday’s slate.
