Davis Martin Leads 3 Tuesday Streaming Pitchers Who Could Boost Fantasy Baseball Rosters (April 28, 2026)
If you’re looking for pitchers to stream ahead of Tuesday’s loaded 15-game slate in fantasy baseball, here are three options you should consider.
Why Martin Perez Is An Excellent Streaming Option on Tuesday
Perez has been alternating between roles, as he’s been a starter but has also operated as a long reliever. One thing that has been consistent has been the success he’s had. The southpaw has a 2.70 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 14:6 K:BB over 23.1 innings this season. He’ll be making a spot start Tuesday since he’ll replace Reynaldo Lopez, but he should return to a bullpen role once Spencer Strider (oblique) is back from the injured list.
Perez has an excellent matchup as well, as he’s limited current opposing Tigers hitters to a .224 average and a .695 OPS in 116 at-bats throughout his career. Looking solely at his starting numbers, Perez has allowed five runs on 11 hits and six walks while fanning seven across 16 innings and three starts. Those are far from dominant numbers, but based on his history of success against the Tigers, he’s definitely worth the risk.
Why You Should Stream Davis Martin in Tuesday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate
Martin is enjoying an excellent start to the season, and that should continue in this matchup against a weak Angels lineup that leads the league in strikeouts by a wide margin with 292. Martin is on an excellent run, as he has posted four consecutive quality starts after allowing three runs in five innings against the Marlins in his season debut March 30. Since the beginning of April, Martin has allowed just four earned runs in four starts, posting a 1.37 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with a 20:5 K:BB across 26.1 innings.
At the very least, Martin should be able to eat up innings and limit the damage in a favorable matchup, as he’ll be facing an Angels lineup that also has a 25.8% strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. Martin is widely expected to regress to his regular career numbers sooner rather than later, but that won’t happen, as this matchup against the Angels is just too good to ignore.
Why You Should Trust Braxton Ashcraft As a Streaming Option
On paper, this is a strong streaming alternative since Ashcraft still hasn’t reached 50% roster ownership in most formats, and he’ll be facing the Cardinals, who haven’t been very good outside of Jordan Walker, in a pitcher’s paradise at PNC Park. Ashcraft will be activated before Tuesday’s start, as he was placed on the bereavement list Saturday, but he won’t be missing his scheduled turn in the rotation.
The promising pitcher owns a 2.43 ERA and 32:9 K:BB over his first 29.2 innings this season, so you’d be wise to start him as long as he remains available in your league. From a DFS perspective, Ashcraft could also be a strong play if you’re looking for a pitcher with a strong track record and a favorable matchup but that isn’t in the upper-tier range of salaries.
