Eugenio Suarez Tops 5 Tuesday Fantasy Baseball Plays That Could Anchor DFS Lineups (April 14, 2026)
If you’re looking for fantasy baseball advice ahead of Tuesday’s loaded slate, here are several options for you to consider.
We deliver you two lineups worth stacking, a hitter to consider in DFS formats, and two pitchers to consider: one to start and one to fade, and conversely, they’re facing each other.
Why the Pirates’ Lineup Is a Strong Stack on Tuesday
The Pirates took two of three against the Chicago Cubs over the weekend and could’ve completed the sweep if Chicago hadn’t mounted a late comeback. They carried that momentum over to Monday’s series opener against the Nationals, where the Pirates scored 15 runs, and now they face a struggling pitcher in Miles Mikolas. In 108 plate appearances against current Pirates hitters, Mikolas has allowed opposing hitters a .316 average, a .571 xSLG, and a .392 xwOBA while striking out just 21.3% of the batters he’s faced.
Not only will Mikolas have to deal with Oneil Cruz, who’s riding a 12-game hitting streak, but there are other Pittsburgh hitters who have had success against Mikolas in the past. The list includes Marcell Ozuna (.400 with a 1.300 OPS and two homers in 15 at-bats) and Bryan Reynolds (.341, .913 OPS in 44 at-bats). Stack the Pirates lineup with confidence here.
Why the Giants Are a Strong Secondary Lineup to Stack
If you’re not able to stack the Pirates’ lineup, or perhaps you’re looking to go in a different direction, the Giants’ lineup could be an interesting option to consider. They’ll be facing Brady Singer, who has yet to pitch more than five innings in a start this season and is coming off a woeful showing against the Marlins on April 8, allowing 10 hits and six runs (five earned) in 2.2 frames.
With a 7.71 ERA and 2.06 WHIP in 11.2 innings so far in 2026, and several San Francisco hitters having success against him in the past, the Giants’ lineup is an interesting one to stack on Tuesday’s slate. One player who stands out is Matt Chapman, who has hit a red-hot .700 with a 2.300 OPS while going yard twice in 10 at-bats against Singer. Luis Arraez, meanwhile, has hit .421 with a .924 OPS in 19 at-bats against the 29-year-old right-hander.
Why Eugenio Suarez Is an Excellent Hitter for Tuesday’s DFS Slate
There are plenty of elite hitters to choose from ahead of what figures to be a prolific, attractive 15-game slate on Tuesday, but Suarez is one of the names that stand out as a target to anchor DFS lineups. Suarez and the Reds will face Robbie Ray and the Giants at Great American Ball Park, which has historically been a hitters’ park, but there’s also the history of dominance of Suarez against the southpaw Ray, let alone the fact that Suarez has been successful against left-handed pitchers throughout his career.
In 15 at-bats against Ray, Suarez has hit .333 with a 1.311 OPS and two homers. Look for that streak to continue, as he should be a strong option to anchor your DFS lineups on this Tuesday’s slate.
Why Ryan Weathers Is a Strong Streaming Option Against the Angels
The Angels vs. Yankees series opener was an absolute slugfest that saw both teams score 21 total runs, but that’s not expected to be the case again on Tuesday. The Yankees will rely on Ryan Weathers to get the job done on the mound, and the southpaw has had decent results against the Angels, albeit in a limited sample size. In 17 plate appearances against current Angels hitters, he has struck out 23.5% of the batters he’s faced while allowing a .267 average and a .358 xwOBA.
Those are far from dominant numbers, but he’ll be pitching at home, where he’s given up four earned runs in 11.2 innings while posting an 11:3 K:BB. Weathers will look to build on his last start when he tossed eight frames of one-run ball against the Athletics. With a 3.09 ERA in two starts at home, look for Weathers to deliver another solid outing against an Angels lineup that ranks 15th in the majors in OPS this season (.695) but 26th in batting average (.217).
Why Reid Detmers Is a Pitcher to Fade vs. the Yankees
Conversely, if you’re aiming to stream Weathers in your lineups, you should also stay away from Detmers. Even though he’s had some interesting performances this season, such as tossing 6.2 scoreless innings against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park on April 3, it’s also worth noting that he’s given up at least three earned runs in his other two outings while failing to pitch five complete innings both times.
A trip to Yankee Stadium doesn’t look like the best scenario to deliver a bounce-back performance, because even though the Yankees have been slumping lately, they remain one of the most talented lineups in the AL and scored 11 runs in Monday’s series opener against LAA. Detmers owns a 4.60 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 3.37 FIP this season, so he’s not likely to dominate one of the game’s toughest lineups. If you can stream other alternatives, feel free to do so, as Detmers might be in line for another short outing on Tuesday.
