Ozzie Albies Tops 3 Friday Fantasy Baseball Sluggers Facing Ideal Pitching Matchups (May 1, 2026)
If you’re looking for the best home-run props and bets for Friday’s fantasy baseball slate, here are three options you should consider adding to your lineups.
Why Oneil Cruz Is a Strong Home Run Candidate on Friday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate
Cruz has slowed down a bit compared to the excellent start of the season he had, but he’s been seeing the ball well of late with three homers over his last eight games. However, the lack of contact remains an issue for the star outfielder, backing up the idea of his start of the season being unsustainable.
Cruz could be a strong option to consider for home-run bets or maybe if you just want to anchor your lineup, as he’s had excellent results against Brady Singer in the past. In nine at-bats, the Pirates outfielder has hit .444 with a 1.232 OPS and a homer.
Considering Singer owns a 4.97 ERA with a 1.62 WHIP this season, and that he has allowed five homers in six starts, the idea of Cruz going yard on Friday can’t be ruled out.
Trust Ozzie Albies’ Red-Hot Bat for Home Run Bets
It wouldn’t be a stretch to say Albies has been one of the hottest bats in the majors over the last two weeks. The Braves second baseman is riding an impressive 12-game hitting streak and has posted excellent numbers over that stretch, slashing .413/.451/.717 with a 1.168 OPS, three homers, 11 RBI, 10 runs scored, and a 3:4 K:BB.
Albies has also gone yard in two of his last three games, and as if that wasn’t enough, he’s also had excellent results against Jose Quintana in the past. Over 19 at-bats against the veteran, Albies has hit .474 with a 1.553 OPS and three dingers.
Albies is far more than just a strong option for home-run prop bets, as he’s been so good over the last two weeks that he could easily anchor your entire fantasy baseball lineup, and he’d certainly do so a bit underpriced compared to his production.
Josh Bell Is an Excellent Home Run Alternative on Friday
Bell is never going to hit for much average, but that doesn’t matter much when he hits with the kind of power he does every time he steps to the plate. The Twins slugger is hitting just .225 on the season with a career-worst .126 ISO, but he’s bound to turn things around sooner rather than later.
Unsurprisingly, given his numbers, Bell is also riding an 18-game homerless streak, as the last time he went yard was in a game against the Detroit Tigers on April 9.
Despite the struggles and the underwhelming power numbers, Bell has had excellent results in the past against Patrick Corbin, posting a 1.169 OPS and three home runs across 18 at-bats against the veteran. That should be enough to believe this will be a good matchup for him.
