3 Monday Streamers — Including Steven Matz — Could Anchor Fantasy Baseball Rotations (April 27, 2026)
If you’re looking for streaming options on the pitching side of things ahead of Monday’s fantasy baseball slate, you’re in the right place. Here are three options to stream if you need a starter for this eight-game slate.
What to Expect from Steven Matz Against the Guardians
Matz didn’t have his best stuff his last time out, as he was hammered against the Cincinnati Reds last Tuesday, taking the loss after allowing four runs on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts across three innings. However, Matz had gone at least five innings in each of his previous four starts to begin the 2026 campaign, so he might be a solid option to stream in most formats ahead of a favorable matchup against the Cleveland Guardians.
The Guardians rank 19th in collective OPS ahead of Monday’s slate (.699) and rank 11th in fewest strikeouts (228), so they’re far from being a slumping offense, and they’re a tough team to strike out as well. Matz owns a 4.81 ERA and 25:10 K:BB across 24.1 innings this season, so at the very least, he could be a player who could give you solid innings as a plug-and-play starter.
Connor Prielipp Offers Upside Against the Mariners
Prielipp made his MLB debut last Wednesday, tossing four innings in a no-decision against the Mets while striking out six and allowing two runs on four hits and no walks. The 25-year-old southpaw has been starting in place of Mick Abel (elbow), and with the latter staying on the injured list throughout at least another week, Prielipp could even make two starts this week, and that would line him up to start against the Blue Jays over the weekend.
Prielipp has a relatively favorable matchup on Monday, as the Mariners have been a slumping offense by their standards, ranking 16th in collective OPS with a .702 mark. Plus, Prielipp will also have the advantage of making this start in a pitching-friendly environment at T-Mobile Park. Prielipp could be a serviceable streaming alternative this Monday.
Why Jack Kochanowicz Is a Strong Streamer Against the White Sox
Kochanowicz delivered a solid outing his last time out, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out one across 5.2 innings against the Blue Jays on April 21. His recent numbers have been impressive, as he has given up three or fewer earned runs in each of his last four starts, going 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 16:12 K:BB across 25 innings over that stretch.
He has a favorable matchup against the Chicago White Sox on Monday, and if he’s able to keep it rolling, he should be in line for another strong outing. He has two quality starts over his last three appearances and will face a White Sox lineup that has the seventh-worst OPS (.688) and has racked up the fourth-most strikeouts (264) this season.
